The Challenge
DANDELION is the debut album from emerging Atlanta urban artist, EL BAM. The project charts his artistic evolution by traversing various musical genres, while simultaneously tracking the sequential stages of infatuation and relationship development (or breakup) across the tracklist. The primary challenge was to visually represent this complex narrative—the evolution and the emotional cycle—through a singular, cohesive audiovisual set design and a standout performance from the artist.

Creative Strategy & Solution
To translate the emotional rollercoaster of DANDELION into a visual experience, our strategy focused on depicting the gradual deterioration of well-being as a relationship collapses. The solution was to design a single set that would be progressively destroyed throughout the visuals, mirroring BAM’s own emotional breakdown. This set destruction was paired with dramatic scenes, including visual suggestions of alcohol consumption, mental anguish (dementia), and the destructive behaviors one experiences during a painful breakup, effectively turning the physical environment into a metaphor for his internal state.
