The Challenge
This was a documentary proposal created by Javier Monne aimed at narrating the anniversary of Hurricane Katrina several years after the event. The goal was to tell the story in a narrative and authentic manner. The central challenge was developing a proposal compelling enough to be accepted by major Hispanic media outlets such as Univision and Televisa, requiring a balance between informational rigor and dramatic storytelling.

Creative Strategy & Solution
The strategic solution was to create a modern and dual-purpose approach: delivering a blend of dramatic intensity and clear, informative content. We ensured the documentary would feature exclusive footage obtained through extensive recording sessions conducted directly in New Orleans. This strategy aimed to capture the enduring emotional truth and reality of the disaster while employing a high-quality, contemporary production style that appealed to the standards and audience of major network television.
